This niche travel blog is born from my desire to share the architectural beauty that surrounds us.
Architecture is indeed much more than just construction techniques; it integrates: design, sociology, psychology, technology, and popular wisdom. It can be regarded as a form of art, one that we experience everyday, actively shaping our daily lives.
With my articles and my pictures I intend to show the memorable places that I have visited, as well as providing information based on my experience that may be useful for fellow travelers and architecture geeks like me.
It is my hope that it will not only inspire people to travel, but to more fully understand and appreciate the local architectural heritage of the places they visit.
I believe that everyone has their own interest and needs when planning a trip, so I will not tell you what is the ultimate travel itinerary you should do. Instead, i want to share the journey that I crafted for myself, with my hindsight, advice and conclusions.
A selection of travel articles and photo galleries related to places I visited, which I consider interesting from an architectural point of view.
All the contents are based on my experience, where i share pictures, details, and useful travel information, as well as my personal opinions.
A series of blog posts where I share stories, adventures, and resources (not necessarily related to architecture) about specific travel topics and situations that I faced during my trips and that may be useful to travelers in the same situations.
I’m Silvia, a young Italian architect based in China, with a passion for traveling, photography and cultural identity.
One of the main inspirations for my travels has always been the search for understanding of how people live; with a specific interest in the local, traditional, and regional culture, which architecture represents as one of the most tangible expressions.
Yes, I’m an architect, but this is not a website exclusively for architects; it is open to anyone who appreciates the cultural diversity of this world.
I hope this blog will inspire people to travel, understanding and appreciating the local architectural heritage of the amazing places that architects without a name have designed around the world.
